Yes. Based on consistent customer feedback, ERPC ranks stream speed as Direct Shreds first, then Geyser gRPC, then WebSocket, so Geyser gRPC is faster than WebSocket. If you are moving off WebSocket to react to chain state sooner than the competition, Geyser gRPC is the upgrade: full Yellowstone/Geyser gRPC over the standard gRPC interface for account, transaction, slot, and block subscriptions from a gRPC client. Direct Shreds is a separate UDP-based product for raw pre-block shred data over a different interface. Geyser gRPC and Direct Shreds therefore serve different workloads.

Choose a dedicated endpoint when you need consistently fast, stable latency. Shared endpoints split finite server resources among many customers and slow down when traffic from those customers rises at the same time, which is precisely when you most need to land first. With a dedicated endpoint you are the sole user of the resource, so other customers do not affect your performance. A dedicated endpoint also unlocks HTTP without TLS. This skips the roughly 20ms TLS handshake, so communication is faster than HTTPS.

Combine a dedicated Geyser gRPC node with an ERPC Bare Metal server on the same network. Because both share the same network, they communicate privately at zero distance, typically reaching around 0.1ms ping. To consistently land your transactions first, track upcoming validators with the ERPC Leader Slot API (getLeaderSlots). It returns the upcoming leader schedule, stake weight for the current epoch, estimated validator geolocation, and reference ping values. ERPC automatically selects the lowest-latency region based on real routing measurements, so the choice is handled for you. There is no single permanent best region because Solana's leader role rotates around the world, slot by slot. ERPC operates Geyser gRPC nodes in Frankfurt, Amsterdam, London, New York, Chicago, Tokyo, Singapore, and Sydney. Validator-dense regions like Frankfurt and the eastern United States see leader slots more often.
